WHAT’S WRONG WITH NATURAL MAYONNAISE?
Oxidation is the problem. Conventional mayonnaises (like Hellmann’s and Dukes) contain EDTA, a synthetic preservative that prevents oxidation of the oil. But EDTA tastes terrible and ruins mayonnaise flavor. EDTA is banned by natural grocers like Whole Foods.
Problem is, without EDTA, mayonnaise made with poly-unsaturated oils (like avocado, soybean, canola, or grapeseed) oxidizes quickly. The oils are rancid, and rancid oil tastes terrible!
Also, rancid oil is harmful. It causes inflammation and is linked to diseases like cancer and heart disease.
Coconaise is different. Coconaise is made with oils naturally resistant to oxidation, like coconut oil and MCT (medium chain triglyceride) oil. Coconaise has fresh (non-rancid) oils and fresh mayonnaise flavor without the EDTA!
Low oxidation = fresh taste!
For maximum freshness, Coconaise is refrigerated at our facility. But refrigerated shipping is not needed.
Coconaise has 4 grams MCTs per 1 tbsp.
Coconaise is NOT VEGAN. Coconaise is REAL mayonnaise made with (organic) eggs.
Coconaise does not smell or taste like coconut.
Why the sugar? The amount (0.15 grams/tablespoon) is trivial. Consider this: one egg contains 0.6 grams sugar.
